Blog Action Day 2008: Poverty (and how family can help)

Hi everyone,

Sorry for not updating this blog for more than a week. I am really very busy with my main blog while starting a small family business.

Anyway, I hope you join the Blog Action Day 2008 wherein the topic this year is poverty. It is not a secret that I have been there. In fact, my dark past about poverty was really a nightmare that I should forget. However, I decided not to because I know I learned a lot and I know it made me a better person.

By the way, I submitted an entry and I think poverty can only be solved if we treat each as one big happy family.

Poverty is really a scourge of society. It pains to see that there are so much wealth and resources in the affluent countries, enough to feed all the hungry people of the world. But greed and lack of love and caring for his fellowmen have made man so callous as to turn a blind eye on the suffering of others. As Cain said before, "Why am I my brother's keeper?" That has been the bane of society ever since. Thanks for the humane post. God bless you always.
